Grace Elizabeth Anderson

Grace Elizabeth Anderson (nee Maier), age 88, died Saturday May 29, 2010 at her residence in Edgewater Park. Mrs. Anderson was born in Burlington Township and remained a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Burlington High School and Pierce Junior College. She also attended Trenton State College. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Willingboro. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Anderson was the wife of the late Walter S. Anderson. She was predeceased by a great-granddaughter, Kaitlyn Boyce. She is survived by her children; William S. Anderson and Susan (Butch) Major, her grandchildren; William Scott Anderson, Jr., Stacy (Edward) Stillwell, Kimberly (Michael) Meenan, Heather (William) Boyce and Philip (Jenn) Major, her great-grandchildren; Eddie Stillwell, Dona Stillwell, Faye Anderson, Justin Meenan, Jenna Meenan, Jessica Boyce and Billy Boyce. She is also survived by her brother Robert Maier. Funeral services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions made to the Moorestown Visiting Nurses Association Hospice, 10 East Stow Rd., Suite 100, Marlton, NJ 08053 would be appreciated by her family. Howard E. Decker

Howard E. Decker, of Burlington Township, died Thursday, May 27, 2010, at Lourdes Medical Center, Willingboro, at the age of 83, with his loving wife as always by his side. Mr. Decker was born in Scranton, PA and had been a long time Burlington resident. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War Two with the 13th Engineer Battalion in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and the occupation of Japan. When younger, he enjoyed coaching boy’s baseball teams and he was always a Phillies and Eagles fan. He retired as a foreman after working many years for the Rohm and Haas Company, in Bristol. He was a life member and former chaplain of the Charles P. McMenamie American Legion Post, in Philadelphia.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Blanche (Lewis), his five children, Donna Wurster, Eddie (Colleen) Decker, Dale Decker, Debra (Frank) Mack, and Daniel (Patricia) Decker, his fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington, for Howard’s viewing on Thursday from 10 to 11 AM. and a funeral service at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, 333 County Line Rd. Somerton, PA.

 
 
Gloria Haines

Gloria Haines (nee Matarese), age 55, died suddenly, Wednesday May 26, 2010 at her residence in Mt. Laurel, Ms. Haines was born in Mt. Holly and remained a lifelong area resident. Ms. Haines was a registered nurse who worked last for Dr. Kruger in Mt. Holly. She was a very giving person who supported many charities. She will be most remembered by all who knew her for her unconditional generosity often giving of her time and possessions no matter what. She also will be remembered as someone who always found a way to make things happen. Daughter of the late Jean M. Matarese (nee Shultz), Gloria is survived by her loving companion of 22 years Jack Rose of Mt. Laurel, her son Dennis Haines of Lumberton, her father Frank Matarese, her sisters Linda Joy Matarese and Veronica Desbaiux, her brothers Robert A. Matarese and Christopher Matarese, her nieces and nephews James Matarese, Jacqueline Mines, Michael Matarese, Sara Korang, Melanie Matarese, Catherine Dahi and Anna Desbaiux. She is also survived by her former husband Philip Haines and many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Tuesday June 1, 2010 in All Saints RC Church, High St. Burlington. Friends and relatives may call Tuesday from 8:30-9:30am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Burlington. Mary P. Morris

Mary P. Morris (nee Patrikis), age 75, died Tuesday May 25, 2010 at the Cinnaminson Center in Cinnaminson. Mrs. Morris was born in Burlington and remained a lifelong resident. She had worked as a bank clerk for 1st Union Bank in Philadelphia until her retirement. She was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Burlington. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 1817 in Burlington. She was also a member of the Burlington Garden Club, the Burlington City PTA and the Willingboro Recreation Club. In her spare time Mary enjoyed bowling and she liked to travel. Wife of the late Robert Morris, she was also predeceased by her brothers Nicholas and William. Mrs. Morris is survived by her children; Thomas (Ann Marie) Morris of Cinnaminson, Stephanie Morris of Burlington and John Morris of Mays Landing; and her grandchildren Alan Morris, Matthew Morris and Megan Morris. She is also survived by her brother George Patrikis of Florida and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 10am Wednesday June 2, 2010 in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rt. 130 and Beverly Rd., Burlington. There will be no calling hours prior to services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the House of Charity, 631 Market St., Camden, NJ 08102 would be appreciated by her family. David W. Fennell

David W. Fennell of Edgewater ParkDavid W. Fennell of Edgewater Park died suddenly on Saturday, May 22nd at his home,
he was 88 years of age. Born in Riverside, NJ. on April 16, 1922, he was the son of the late Roy and Mabel Fennell. He was originally employed with R. M. Hollingshead in Camden until the company closed. He then was employed as a packaging mechanic for Certified Brands in Cinnaminson retiring in 1983. A member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Burlington he served his country honorably in the United States Army during W.W.II. A former member of the Delran V.F.W., Post #3020, Dave enjoyed fishing and boating in his spare time.
Husband of the late Anne W. Fennell, who died in 1999, he is survived by his daughter and son in law: Elizabeth Anne (Betty) and Barry Petty of Edgewater Park and his grandson Christopher Petty of Groton, Ct.
Requiem Mass will be offered Wednesday, May 26th at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, West Broad St., Burlington. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Mary’s Churchyard. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and again Wednesday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. In lieu of flowers donations in Mr. Fennells’ memory may be made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 145 West Broad St., Burlington, NJ. 08016. Fred F. Gross
Fred F.Gross of Burlington Township, died Wednesday, May 19th at Burlington Woods Long Term Care Facility; he was 78 years of age. Born in Laurelton, PA. on June 21, 1931 he was the son of the late William & Mary Gross. A former resident of Texas, he has been a resident of Burlington Township since 1973. A United States Army Veteran, he retired in 1972 from military service after 20 years. After moving to Burlington he was employed as a forklift operator for 20 years with Hooker Chemical Company. A big tease by nature he was known as the “family comedian”. In his spare time Fred enjoyed gardening, playing cards, hunting, camping and trips to the casinos. Predeceased by his two sisters; Thelma Winners and Martha Bingaman, he is survived by his loving wife of 57 years; Mai (Sukekawa) Gross, his siblings and their spouses: Dorothy Long of Camp Hill, PA., William (Mary) Gross of Williamsport, PA., Lucille Awalt of Glassboro, NJ., Mary Orndorf of Woodward, PA., Daisey (Richard) Lukens of Camp Hill, PA., and Richard (Virginia) Gross of Laurelton, PA. Fred is also survived by several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Cremation services will be private and at the convenience of the family. THELMA C. LOVETT (LENTZ)

Thelma C. Lovett (nee: Lentz), beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Tues., May 18, 2010, at the age of 92.
Thelma was an eternal optimist, who was gracious, kind, and loving to everyone. She loved her family equally but had the ability to make each one feel they were her favorite. She was one of the first female employees of the McDonald’s Corporation, Edgewater Park, NJ, where she faithfully worked for twenty-five years. She was a longtime parishioner of Corpus Christi R.C. Church and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. Thelma was an avid sports fan and enjoyed her Philadelphia sports’ teams.Mother of the late Michael Lovett, she will be greatly missed by her children, James A., Jr. (Margarite) Lovett, Linda C. (James) Nelson, Carol (William) Callanan, Mary (Richard) Vishton, her grandchildren, MaryBeth Linser, Michael Nelson, Karen Harper, Margarite Ryan, Nicole Schollins, Courtney Henson, Kimberly Mack, Richard Vishton, Christopher Callanan, Catherine & Sarah Vishton, and 18 great-grandchildren. The family cordially invites friends to her viewing and funeral services. Viewing will be held in Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington on Thursday from 6:30-8:30pm and Friday from 8:15-9:15am. Joseph Fijalkowski

Joseph Fijalkowski, age 61, died Saturday May 15, 2010 at Samaritan Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mt. Holly. Mr. Fijalkowski was born in Burlington and remained a lifelong resident. He had worked for the Eagle Dye Co. in Mt. Holly. He was a devout catholic and was an active member of All Saints R.C. Church in Burlington. He was very proud of his Polish-American heritage and enjoyed following many polish customs. He was also musically inclined and enjoyed playing the organ. He was also a wonderful cook and he especially enjoyed preparing many of the family holiday meals. He was also an avid gardener and grew many flowers and vegetables in his garden. He was the son of the late Stanley and Sophia (nee Kowalewski) Fijalkowski, Sr. He was also predeceased by his brothers Anthony Fijalkowski and Stanley Fijalkowski, Jr. He is survived by his brothers and sisters in law; Walter and Constance Fijalkowski of Florence, Richard and Marsha Fijalkowski of Hamilton Square, Chester and Donna Fijalkowski of Pemberton and Becky Fijalkowski. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Saturday, May 22, 2010 in All Saints R.C. Church, High St., Burlington. MARGARET "PEGGIE" D'AUTRECHY

Margaret “Peggie” E. D’Autrechy (nee:Orfe) of Burlington passed away in Samaritan Inpatient, Mt. Holly on Wednesday at the age of 82. Born in Beverly to the late Joseph P. and Charlotte Orfe, she was a lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church who also did volunteer work for Deborah Heart and Lung Center. Mother of the late Daniel, she is survived by her husband of 65 years Francis and their children; Francis, Jr., Charlotte D’Autrechy-Scott, Marty, Albert, Jim, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her brothers Fred & Joe Orfe, and her sister Mary Jane. GEORGE REILLY

George J. Reilly passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville, TN at the age of 68. He was a recent resident of Kodak, TN; formerly of Burlington, NJ. He was a retired Machinist from Geon Chemical in Burlington. His hobbies included fixing automobiles for family and friends and qualifying as a certified duct tape specialist.

George is survived by his beloved wife Mary(nee Park); 7 children - Theresa (Chris), Steven, David (Wendy), Debra (Lonnie), Donna, Kevin (Amy), Craig; and his loyal walking companion Foxy; grandchildren - Christopher, Justin, DJ, Andrew, Shawn, Kaitlyn, Mercedes, Tyler, Kevin Jr., Kyle, Kennedy; great grandson - Maliki; sisters & brothers - Betty (Joe), Pat, Rose (Bob), Mary (Chuck), Joan, Cassie, Tom (Bernice); many nieces and nephews including Barbara and Ray Petto.

He was preceded in death by his mother Jesse, father Thomas, step-father Charles, brothers - Joseph, Charles, Philip, special brother Willard, and sister Anna.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10am Monday in St. Paul’s R.C. Church, E. Union St., Burlington. Friends and relatives may call at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington on Sunday from 7-9pm and again on Monday from 8:30-9:30am. Burial will follow Mass in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington.
