Angelina DeCecco Obituary

Angelina (Angie) DeCecco of Mt. Laurel, formerly of Florence, NJ died December 1, 2016 at Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice, Mt. Holly surrounded by her loving and caring family. She was 96 years old. Angie was born in Burlington, NJ Feb. 8, 1920, the daughter of Vincenzo and Mariantonia DiRienzo. The wife of the late Emanuel DeCecco, Angie was preceded in death by her brothers Jack and Joseph DiRienzo, her sisters Josephine and Antoniette DiRienzo, Helen Davis and Mary Stilson. She was also predeceased by her former husband Edward Markiewicz. She is survived by her loving sister Jane Campbell and sister in law Donnie DiRienzo. Angie is also survived by her son and daughter in law Edward and Sandy Markiewicz, daughter and son in law Barbara and Eddie Roughton, son and daughter in law Dennis and Sue Markiewicz, step daughter Jeanette Piracci and her grandchildren Denise and Paul Gandee, Brandi and Steve Principe, Kristin and Chris Blackmore, Keri and Kostas Kolyfas, David and Kara Markiewicz, step grandson David and Joy Tucci as well as many nieces and nephews. She had twelve great grandchildren, who she loved and adored; Justin and Travis Gandee, Alexis and Kayla Principe, Kaleigh, Arianna ansd Braelyn Blackmore, Emma and Natalie Markiewicz, Jessica, Heather and Eddie Tucci. Angie loved to cook and bake for her family. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City, reading, dancing and she was an avid gardener. She was a very generous, kind and caring woman. Her greatest love was her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. We all will treasure her love forever. We love you mom. Her family extends an invitation to relatives and friends to attend her viewing and funeral mass. Viewing will be Monday December 5, 2016 in St. Paul R.C. Church 223 E. Union St., Burlington from 9 - 9:45am. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am. Entombment will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington following mass. Memorial contributions made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, Suite 301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691 would be appreciated by her family.
