Edgar B Heisler

Edgar B. Heisler died on Monday February 12, 2018 at the Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice Center in Mt. Holly. He was 91 years old. Edgar was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia, on February 16, 2013. He was born in the family farmhouse in Burlington Twp., on October 4, 1926. No hospital was involved. His brothers Charles and Albert were also born there. His parents were Charles K. Heisler and Mary Gandy Heisler. Edgar followed his father in farming the land for many years. He served in the army in 1945 and 1946, primarily in the occupation of Japan. After retiring from farming, he and Patricia lived in Hainesport for several years. They were both very active in the First Baptist Church of Burlington. He was predeceased by his granddaughter, Leslie Savino. He is survived by their three daughters and their families. Daughter Lynn Hart, son-in-law Tom, grandchildren Erin and T.J. Daughter Susan Compton and grandson Jon. Daughter Martha, son-in-law Frank, grandchildren Anthony, Laura, husband Evan and great grandson Arthur. Funeral services will be held in the First Baptist Church of Burlington, 335 Stacy St, Burlington on Friday February 16, 2018. Viewing will be from 9am to 11am, with the service following at 11am. Interment will be private at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. Contributions in his memory may be made to the First Baptist Church of Burlington, 335 Stacy St., Burlington, NJ 08016.
