Frances Manzi

Frances (Fran) Angelina Manzi (nee Rizzo), 91, of Burlington, NJ, died Monday, January 30, 2017, at Virtua Memorial Hospital, in Mount Holly, NJ Born in Altoona, Pa, daughter of the late Nicolina and Giuseppe Rizzo, she lived in Burlington since childhood and until just months ago when she moved to Riverview Estates in Riverton. Fran was an active volunteer in many facets of her life, including the Boudinot School, Deborah Hospital, St. Katharine Drexel Church, and the Good Cheer Club. She was employed by Gregory's and The Costume Gallery. Most "Burlingtonians" will remember her from her years at the Burlington News Agency. Her most pleasurable times were when she was cooking and entertaining for family and friends, playing pinochle, and spending summers in Long Branch. She is survived by her son, Lou (Pat) of Riverton and her daughter Donna of Edgewater, MD, sister Carmela Ryan Donovan of Dover, DE, brother George Rizzo of Burlington, sister-in-law Anita Manzi Ruggeri of Westampton, and many nieces/nephews and great nieces/nephews. The celebration of her life takes place on Thursday, February 2. Visitation begins at 10:00 am immediately followed by the funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Both taking place at St. Katharine Drexel Church, (formerly St. Paul's) 223 East Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Road, Burlington, NJ.
