Pat was born on November 27, 1932 on Columbus Road, in Burlington Township, NJ. She remained a resident of Burlington Township her entire life. Pat often said, that she was born in "08016" and she intended to die in "08016", and so it was, on February 24, 2018, at the age of 85, surrounded by the family that loved her. Her mother named her Janet, but her father wanted her to have an Irish name, so he nicknamed her Pat, and Pat was how she would always be known to practically everyone who knew her. Pat was predeceased by her beloved husband Michael J. Gallagher, her brothers William, Edward and Charles Kelly, her sisters, Marion Butterfield and Mary Sharpe and her daughter in law Karen Gallagher. She is survived by her children, Pamela Richardson (Timothy) of Burlington Township, Michael B. Gallagher of Pemberton Township, Kathleen Costello (Wayne) of Burlington Township, Everett Gallagher (Ginger) of Pennsville, Constance Badat (Robert) of Willingboro. Her grandchildren: Timothy Richardson (Elizabeth) of Stafford, VA, Steven Richardson (Raeanne) of Wheatfield, IN, Jacob Gallagher of Middeltown, PA, Jesse Gallagher of Warminster, PA, Ashley Digirolamo (Nicholas) of Marlton, Zachary Costello of Westampton, Kaitlin Costello of Alexandria, MN, Justin Badat of Delaware, OH, Josh Badat (Anzor) of Cherry Hill and Whitney Bayard (Bradley) of Berlin. Pat is also survived by ten great-grandchildren: Leah, Matthew, Bailey, Callee, Steven, Danin, Autumn, Nicholas, Parker, Chloe and a number of treasured couins, nieces, nephews and friends. Throughout her life Pat was active with her family, in her church, and her community. She was Past President of the Springside School PTA, and a homeroom mother. As a member of St. Paul's Church, she was a Lector, a member of the choir, and taught CCD. Pat also was a member and Past President of the St. Paul's Alter Rosary Society, and was instrumental in opening and running the church's religious store. She was active in the church's food pantry. In her community Pat was a Life Member of the Independent Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered at the Burlington Township Municipal Building with the Police Department as a receptionist. She was instrumental in its creation and became a driving force with the Burlington Township Food Pantry. Pat also volunteered with the "Ladle of Love" soup kitchen at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Burlington. Pat always felt that she had been blessed by the people whose lives she got to touch, what she failed to realize was that it was those she touched that were truly blessed.
