JoAnn Rowan

JoAnn Rowan (nee Marian) of Burlington City died Sunday, December 18, 2016 at her residence at the age of 69. Born in Mt. Holly, JoAnn grew up in Roebling and was a longtime Burlington resident. She worked as a bookkeeper for Mechanic's Bank in Burlington, working last as a telephone operator for AT&T until her retirement. Although she was dedicated to her job, her real joy was her family. She loved to host and entertain and had an open door policy for family and friends. Laughter and love abounded as the family gathered for her annual Thanksgiving dinner. She was always warm and welcoming to all. JoAnn was predeceased by her parents, Alex "Cremo" and Josephine (nee Comegno) Marian. She is survived by her husband William Rowan, her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Sherri Rowan, her daughter and son-in-law Kate and Chris Williams and her granddaughter Kaley Williams. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Alex and Donna Marian, her sisters and brothers-in-law Maryann Marian and Michael Noriega, Susan and Glenn Panaro and Julia and Robert Campbell as well as many nieces and nephews. Viewings for JoAnn will be held from 7-9 pm Wednesday December 21st at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington and 9-10am Thursday December 22nd at St. Paul R.C. Church, 223 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Thursday in St. Paul R.C. Church. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington.
