Julius Joseph Fabi

Success only comes before hard work in the dictionary. Julius "Joseph" Fabi was a self made man with an incomparable work ethic who was dedicated to his family, his community and his nation. Joe worked 7 days a week, right up to the "last call" day before he passed away on Thursday December 15, 2016 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. Mr. Fabi was born in Burlington and had recently resided in Mt. Laurel. As a child he shined shoes and caddied golf courses to help his family make ends meet. His home had contributed to the manpower of our nation and he upheld the ideals of our American Freedoms in the United States Marine Corps. As a jet mechanic. Joe worked at J. Chain as a Foreman before he became the owner and operator of the Tankard Lounge in Burlington 50 years ago. Joe was a gentle soul who had been a 50 year member of the Burlington Lodge #32 F&AM who will be fondly remembered as kind and giving with no complaints. He enjoyed pushing his luck on the blackjack table in Atlantic City, antiquing, attending horse shows and of course finishing the day with a piece of chocolate. Mr. Fabi is survived by his daughters Juliet & her husband Richard Jones and Lynn & her husband John Fox. He is the proud grandfather of Nichole & her husband Matthew Wolf, Lauren Fox, the late Matthew, the late Jonathan and great grandfather of; Madilyn Lilly, Grayson Fabi, Chase Matthew and London James. Mr. Fabi is also survived and will be sadly missed by Annie Allen, Michael Mirage and the many customers and friends that he's made over the last 50 years at the Tankard Lounge. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Fabi family to remember Joe and pay tribute to a loving father, grandfather and friend on Monday evening between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm and again on Tuesday afternoon between 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm at Page Funeral Home 302 E. Union St. Burlington where a funeral ceremony will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment and graveside tribute will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington.
