Nelson Malpica

Nelson Malpica, 67, of Burlington, NJ passed away on January 22, 2018. Nelson is predeceased by his parents, Juan and Louisa Malpica, along with his twin brother, his sister Anna-Lisa, and his brothers Pedro and John.  Nelson is survived by his devoted and loving sister, Judith. Nelson is lovingly remembered by his nieces ( Jennifer Malpica & Trisha Ekelburg)  and nephews (Ronald Torres,  Pedro Torres, Steven Torres, George Miragliuolo). Nelson is also remembered by the joy of his heart which was  his great-nephews ( Matthew, Xavier, Antonio, Gabriel,  William) and great-nieces (Melina & Iryna). Nelson who everyone called, Chico was born in Manhattan, NY on February 12, 1950. He was employed by the South Beach Psychiatric Center for over twenty years in which he later retired.  In 1997 he moved to Burlington, NJ to live closer to his sister, Judith Miragliuolo. However, he was a true New Yorker at heart! He loved his City and his favorite beach, Midland Beach Staten Island! His resilience and hard work ethic was the heart of his parents who instilled in Nelson that there was nothing that he could not do! Nelson enjoyed sports, especially Yankees baseball, as well as movies, reading the newspaper, walking, and spending time with his family. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Malpica family on Saturday morning between 10:00 and 11:00 am at the Page Funeral Home 302 E. Union St. Burlington where a memorial ceremony will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Rev. Joseph Titone presiding. Inurnment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington.
