Stephen J Lazorchak

Stephen J. Lazorchak of Burlington Twp., died Sunday February 26, 2017 at the Burlington Woods Convalescent Center, Burlington Twp., at the age of 90. Born in St. Michaels, PA to the late Stephen and Sarah (Walker) Lazorchak, Stephen was a longtime resident of Burlington Twp. He retired from the US Navy in 1966 after 22 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. After his military service, Stephen worked as an inspector for the Burlington County Health Department, retiring in 1989. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Burlington, where he served in the vestry. He was a member of both the American Legion and the Fleet Reserve Assoc. He was a Past Master of Willingboro Lodge #298 F&AM, and a member of both Burlington Lodge #32 and Maple Shade/ Moorestown Lodge #281 F&AM. Stephen was also a member and Past Patron of Mt. Holly Chapter #147 O.E.S. and a member of the Delanco and Burlington Twp. Senior Citizen's Clubs. Husband of the late Katherine V. (Adams) Lazorchak and step father of the late John Lincoln, he was also predeceased by his five siblings. Stephen is survived by his son Frank Lazorchak, granddaughter Andrea Simpson, grandson Andrew Lazorchak, great grandchildren Conner and Samantha Simpson, his daughter in law Jennifer Ash and former daughter in law Christine Lazorchak as well as several nieces and nephews. A viewing for Stephen will be held from 9:30-10:30am Thursday March 2, 2017 in Old St. Mary's Episcopal Church, W. Broad and Wood Sts., Burlington. Funeral services will begin at 10:30am. Burial will follow services in St. Mary's Churchyard, Burlington. Memorial contributions made to either St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 145 W. Broad St., Burlington, NJ 08016 or to the Masonic Village of NJ, 902 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, NJ 08016 would be appreciated by his family.
