Anna Rose Delaney passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her children on January 23, 2019. Anna was 96 years old and still feisty and funny. She was born in Burlington City on March 30, 1922. She served in her beloved Women's Army Corps (WAC) during World War II and met her husband, George, while both were stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. She has worked numerous jobs, from factories to lunch lady, but her most important avocation was being a mother to four children, grandmother to 12 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 12 great grandchildren. Anna is predeceased by her husband, George Ivan and her siblings Joseph, James, and David Pellini. She is also predeceased by her adoptive siblings, Angelo and Anthony Sabino and Lillian DeRosa. She is survived by her children Anna Marie Delaney, Mildred Joyce Thatcher (Paul), Robert Verl Delaney, and Antoinette (Toni) Margaretta (William). Services for Anna will be provided by Page Funeral, 302 East Union Street, Burlington, NJ. Viewing will take place on Tuesday morning at 9-10:30am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Paul Catholic Church at 11 am. Interment will at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
