Francis J. Lowden of Willingboro passed away Friday February 28, 2020 at the Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mt. Holly at the age of 73. Born in Burlington, Francis was a longtime resident of Willingboro. He was an army veteran, honorably serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was a retired postal worker, serving in the Willingboro post office. He will be remembered as a simple man who loved being with his family, fishing and watching the Phillies and Eagles play. Francis is survived by his wife Susan (nee Calland), his daughter Coleen Lowden, son and daughter in law Daniel and Silvia Lowden, his granddaughter and her husband Jackee and Thomas Darragh and his great grandchildren Brendon, Liam and Tucker, whom he fondly referred to as his BLT. He is also survived by his brother and sister in law Joseph and Lorraine Lowden, his sister Rita Lowden as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members. A life celebration for Francis will be held Sunday March 8th from 1-4pm at the Brickwall Tavern, 19 East Union St., Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to Samaritan Healthcare and Hospice 5 Eves Drive, Suite 300 Marlton, NJ 08053 would be appreciated by his family.
