Harry W. Stecker of Burlington City passed away at his residence on Friday April 5, 2019 at the age of 78. Born in Burlington, Harry remained a lifelong resident. He proudly and honorably served his country as a member of the US Marine Corps during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He worked for many years at Sybron Chemical in Birmingham, Pemberton Twp. Harry loved spending time outdoors. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed spending time tending his garden. When he wasn't outdoors, he could be found with a good book because he also had a love of reading. He loved trips to the shore, particularly Long Beach Island, spending many summers there first as a child and then as an adult with his family. For all his passion for the great outdoors, Harry's greatest love was his family. He was predeceased by his father, Harry Stecker, and his sister Shirley Kiss. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Adeline, his daughters April (John) Kratz, Malinda (Richard) Nix and Amy (Alan) Brown, his grandchildren Abigail Kratz, Zachary Astor and Richard Astor, three great grandchildren Penelope, Athena and Jace, his mother Annabel Stecker, his sister Mary (Darrell) Thomas and his buddy and constant companion Max. Visitation will be held from 10:30am - 12noon, Friday April 12, 2019 at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. A memorial service will begin at noon at the funeral home.
