Jim Stottlemire Obituary

"The stars will still shine, and the sun will still rise, and I will never really leave you". That's what you told me when I asked you how I would ever face the moment you left us...and how I would wake up the next day without you... Our love is a story written in the stars, and in the amazing family we built. My heart is broken in a million pieces, and this pain feels like it will never end. You are my person, my very best friend, and the only one who could make me laugh on the hardest days...but you are not here today, and everything feels impossible. You touched so many lives in so many ways. Thank you for being that guy who everyone has a story about...because I will cherish those stories forever. You are forever my warrior. Your fight was fierce. You are the very definition of good, and the children and I promise you we will try our best to carry on the Stottlemire name with pride and honor, with humility and love. That is the legacy you leave. I promise you I will hold on tightly to our babies, and continue to remind them of the incredible love and pride you have for them. You were the very best father and friend to them...and they are feeling the loss deeply. Thank you for these precious gifts, they will forever be my piece of you. I miss you, my love. I miss you. Until I see you again ... A Celebration of Jim's life and legacy will be Sunday March 3rd between 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm at the Samuel T. Lambert VFW Post 3020 1125 S.
