Lena C. Nalbone

Lena Nalbone (nee Paolillo), age 91 of Burlington, passed away on Wednesday July 12, 2017 in Samaritan Inpatient Hospice at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly. Mrs. Nalbone was born with natural talent and hands of gold in Philadelphia, PA. Lena had been a longtime resident of Burlington. She held her faith dear and was a dedicated parishioner of St. Paul's Church also in Burlington. Mrs. Nalbone was an accomplished singer and entertainer who performed in many bands though the 50's as well as entertaining in the USO. Lena was the matriarch of a large family and will be loved and remembered as a caring and dedicated family woman with an incomparable gravy and meatballs recipe. Mrs. Nalbone became her own success story as an incredible seamstress owning and operating the Gina-Lynn Dress Shop in Burlington for many years. After retirement she spent time at home crocheting, knitting and gourmet cooking. Mrs. Nalbone is the widow of her late husband Joseph and is the mother of Madeline "Poochie" & her husband Robert E. Hoffman and Vicki & her husband Joseph Finochiaro, Sr. Lena is the proud grandmother of Gina-Lynn Hoffman & her husband Paul Rubin, Daren Hoffman (Kate Mulligan), Joseph & his wife Kristine Finochiaro, Jr., Nicholas & his wife Kimberly Finochiaro and great grandmother of Jason Hoffman, Joey, Gabriella, Vincenzo, Nicholas, Jr. and Michael Finochiaro. Lena is also survived and will be sadly missed by her brother Richard Paolillo as well as her numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to join the Nalbone family to remember Lena, celebrate innate talent and pay tribute to a mother's golden touch on Monday morning between 8:30 am and 9:30 am at the Page Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Church, Burlington, Fr. Michael Kennedy officiating. Burial and the witness of love's reunion will immediately follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington.
