Letizia R. (Nee: Fidanza) Torre

Letizia R. Fidanza Torre of Burlington, daughter of Giovanna and Cassiadoro Fidanza of Beverly, died on Wednesday, July18, 2018 in Burlington, at the age of 95. Wife of the late Andrew J. Torre, she is survived by her daughter Andrea J. Torre Brown and son-in-law, Scott M. Brown, of Burlington, as well as many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog T. J. Letizia graduated from Beverly School and then Wilber Watts High School in Burlington. She worked during the war for the Federal Government at the Quarter Master in Transportation Division, and after the war for the Veterans Administration in the Educational Division. She met the love of her life, Andrew Torre, while he was on leave from the war in 1944. After his discharge from the service, they were married in 1946. Together, they opened The Torre Studios, photography studio in Burlington, NJ. They traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada teaching photography. Letizia received her Photographic Craftsman degree and was a Certified Professional Photographer. Her accomplishments included a National Award, the Schreiver Award, and Instructor of the Year Award, a Court of Honor, and the Lifetime Achievement in Professional Photography award. They were also very active in the Rotary Club of Burlington. Most of all she enjoyed being with her family and friends, entertaining at home, Sunday dinners and cookouts. She loved to cook and adored her pets. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday in All Saints Catholic Church, High Street, Burlington, with burial following in Monument Cemetery, Beverly, NJ.
