Louis Ruvo of Burlington Twp., passed away Monday December 10, 2018 at his residence at the age of 54. Born in Trenton, Lou was a longtime resident of Burlington. He was a graduate of Burlington City High School and was employed by Public Service Electric and Gas Co. in Bordentown. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees, loved hockey and was a big fan of the Flyers. He also enjoyed spending time at the beach, particularly in LBI where he enjoyed backgammon on the beach and Sausage, Peppers and Onion sandwich's at (Midway) Seaside. He was a great cook and made especially good meatballs, baked ziti and teriyaki. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a jokester and prankster. He loved hanging out with G & Chan. He was always there at a drop of a dime for anyone and was the one to hold all the secrets. He had no filter, loved life to the fullest and most importantly, loved his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Julia (nee Morgano) Ruvo. He is survived by the best partner in life, his wife, Jessica (nee James) Ruvo, His children Jasinna (Isaac) Carter, Louis Ruvo and Samantha Ruvo, his grandchildren; Dominic, Julian and Alexia Carter, his sisters Deborah Ruvo- Spinelli and Donna Ruvo-Crowe, his half siblings; Frank Ruvo, Nick Ruvo, Mary Hebden and Louise Glasson, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Viewings for Lou will be held from 6-8pm Thursday, December 13th and from 10-11am Friday December 14th at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Services will begin 11am Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rt. 130 and Beverly Rd., Burlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made either to the National Cancer Institute at cancer.gov or Stand Up 2 Cancer at standuptocancer.org would be appreciated by his family.
