Manos Basantis

Manos Basantis of Columbus, New Jersey died Monday June 19, 2017 at his residence at the age of 91. Born in Andros, Greece, Manos was a longtime area resident. He was self employed, owning several restaurants in the Burlington County area over the years. He was a member of AHEPA in Trenton and enjoyed gardening in his spare time. His greatest enjoyment however came from spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife Mary (née Karistinos), his son and daughter in law John and Melanie Basantis, his daughter and son in law Vicky and Thomas Evgeniadis, his grandchildren; Alexis, Amanda and Jake Basantis, Ted and Maria Evgeniadis, his siblings; Michael, Katina and Anna as well as many nieces and nephews. A viewing for Manos will be held Wednesday June 21, 2017 from 7-9pm at St. Thomas G.O. Church, 615 Mercer St., Cherry Hill, NJ 08002. Funeral services will be held 11am Thursday June 22nd at the church. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington Twp. Memorial contributions made to St. Thomas G.O. Church, 615 Mercer St., Cherry Hill, NJ 08002 would be appreciated by his family.
