On Sunday, July 22, 2018, Paul Battista, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many, passed away suddenly and peacefully, at home, at the age of 39 years. Paul was born October 6, 1979, in Philadelphia, PA, to Jacqueline (Leonard) Fine and Edward Battista. Paul will be remembered most for his sensitive, caring, and loving nature. Paul was the best friend one could ever have. Paul's compassion and loyalty captured your heart immediately. Paul's sense of humor was almost as amazing as his laugh. Paul was an adventurous soul which led him to many different locations along the way. His favorite by far was time spent surfing the waves of San Diego, California. Paul had a deep love for music; he always had the perfect song ready to play. Paul was a valued and respected member of the Local 2011 District Council 21 Painters Union out of Philadelphia, PA. Our deep love for Paul will be celebrated until we meet again, rest easy Paulie! Paul is survived by, his mother, Jaqueline Fine, step father, James Waitz, brothers', Edward and Timothy Battista, sister Lindsay Hancock, nephews, Jordan, Luke, Owen and Jaxson. The family invites friends to his visitation and mass on Friday, July 27, all at St. Paul's RC Church, 223 E. Union Street. The visitation will be from 9:30-11am with Mass of Christian Burial at 11am.
