To plant in a garden is to believe in tomorrow. Tiny seeds are buried in the soil's darkness and struggle to reach the light. A man grows what he can and tends to it. Tommaso P. DiPierro was a good, hard working family man. He was strong willed with an unwavering work ethic. He took pride in his roots, his heritage and tended to his family. As a kernel of wheat falls to the ground, it perishes and brings forth much fruit. On Tuesday February 5th, 2019 Mr. DiPierro passed away at Samaritan Hospice in Mt. Holly leaving a garden of memories. Mr. DiPierro was born in Castronuovo di Sant'Andrea, Italy and had returned to visit his home each year. He was an accomplished and respected tailor who worked in Philadelphia's finest clothiers for many years. At home, Mr. DiPierro cheered on his favorite soccer team, spent countless hours in his tomato garden and working on his beloved grass. He was a perennial attendee of the San Gennaro Festival in New York, enjoyed cooking, partying with his friends and family and some quiet time in front of the T.V. Mr. DiPierro is survived by his wife Elizabeth "Betty" (Nee Sweeney) and is the father of Catherine "Cathy" DiPierro. He is the brother of the the late; Augustino DiPierro, Yolanda and her husband Dominic and Rosa and her husband Andre Appella. Mr. DiPierro is also survived and will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews as well as his faithful companions Greta and Frieda. Relatives, friends and neighbors are invited to gather with the DiPierro family to remember Mr. DiPierro, celebrate success, action and humility and pay tribute to a loving husband, father, brother and friend on Monday morning between 8:30 am and 10:30 am at the Page Funeral Home 302 E. Union St. Burlington. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Katharine Drexel Parish, St. Paul Church 223 E Union St. Burlington.
