Virginia Boyea Obituary

Virginia R. "Ginny" Boyea (nee Andrews), age 72 of Roebling, passed away on Monday March 26, 2018 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Mt. Holly. Virginia was born into a large family in Burlington and had been a long time Roebling resident. She had worked as a School Attendance Officer and crossing guard for the Florence Twp. School Board for 24 years. She had also served as the Shop Steward for the CWA Local 1044. "Ginny" had been a member of the PA Dutch Campground for 26 years and a member of the Community Fire Co. #1 in Sharletsville, PA. She was also a member of the South Schuylkill Farmer Safety Club and the Strausstown Rod & Gun Club. Mrs. Boyea had also been a member of the "TK" Kosciuszko Club, VFW Post 1817 and the now defunct Victor Emmanuel all in Burlington. From the blarney stone to Cheers in Boston, to the Elvis Star at Graceland and the Hollywood Walk of Fame Ginny loved to camp, travel and cruise the world. She adored Elvis and loved a weekend long poker game or Phase 10 at home with her family. She will be fondly remembered as very kind and loving to approached everything she did with the best of her ability. Virginia is survived by her loving husband William E. Boyea and is survived by her children; Bill & his wife Suzette Burns, Elizabeth Jensen, Richard & his wife Pam Burns and James Burns. Her step-children; Dorothy J. Splann, William E., III & his wife Teri and Colleen M. & Her Husband Tom Simone. Ginny is the proud grandmother of 8 as well as many great grandchildren as well as step-grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived and will be sadly missed by her dear friends; Richard "Woody" Wood, Janis Cornell, her friends in Norfolk, Madrid and Massena, NY and her faithful companion "Snoopy" Relatives and friends are invited to join the Boyea family to remember Ginny, Celebrate winning poker in a large family and pay tribute to a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend on Thursday afternoon between 12:00 and 2:00 pm at the Page Funeral Home 302 E. Union St. Burlington where a funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 pm.
