Aileen (Chase) Applegate

Aileen C. Applegate (nee Chase) of Springside Burlington Twp., NJ passed away on Thursday August 22, 2024 at home with her loving family by her side. She was 69 years old. Aileen was born and raised in Burlington. She was a devoted mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. Aileen loved doing her crossword puzzles and feeding her birds, especially her cardinals. She was predeceased by her father C.J. Chase, stepmother Yvonne, husband Jack Applegate, stepfather Linwood Symons, sister Nancy Anderson and brother in law Richard. Aileen is survived by her daughter Allisun, her partner of 42 years Wayne Rue, a bonus daughter Kim Thomason and Eric, bonus grandchildren Sophia and Anna, sisters Lynn (Tony) Comegno, Cynthia Chase, brother Keith (Liz) Chase, step brother Keith (Jackie) Symons, Wayne’s mother Dorothy Rue, Wayne’s sister Joyce (Rob), a sister in law Nancy Coupland, brother in law Tom Applegate, stepsister Kim (Robert) Gilbert, two nephews Rocco and Bob, two nieces Nicole and Helen (Phil) and an uncle Henry (Bonnie) Singer and many friends and neighbors. A private service was held on August 25, 2024 for immediate family only and a private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
