Anthony "Tony" J Carnivale, Jr.

Anthony J. Carnivale, Jr., of Burlington Township passed away on Sunday surrounded by his loved ones at the age of 82. Anthony was a proud Marine, having served in USMC from 1959-1963. After serving his country honorably, he began his career at IBM as a technician. After 30 years he retired from the company as a Regional Branch Manager. Tony served his community as a Burlington Township councilman from 1974 to 1992. Tony was well respected as a noble public servant within the Burlington Township Community.

He was a volunteer and then Chairman and Vice President of the foundation at Burlington County Special Services School. Tony served on the board of the Burlington Library Company and various Burlington Township committees.  In 1992, Anthony would become the Burlington Township Registered Municipal Clerk and Certified Municipal Registrar. He served in that capacity until his retirement in 2020, at the age of 80. When he was not working or volunteering, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family, either down the Shore or in Florida.

Anthony was predeceased by his wife Linda Aucello Carnivale. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Jane Sullivan Carnivale and his children: son- Michael (Robin) Carnivale, grandchildren Abigail Carnivale, Jessica Carnivale, a daughter Jennifer (John) Hiros, grandchild, Christopher (Jennifer) Hiros, Hunter Hiros, son Marc (Tammy) Carnivale, grandchildren; Tyler, Gavin Carnivale, a great-grandson James, his brothers: John and William “Billy” and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. The family invites family and friends to his viewing a funeral mass all to be held at St. Paul’s R.C. Church, 223 E. Union Street, Burlington on Saturday, October 21, 2023. The viewing will be from 8:30-10:30am. Marine Corp League will conduct a ceremony at 10:45am with Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11am. Burial will follow with Honor’s at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
