BarBara K. Spiewak, a lifetime resident of Burlington died on January 4, 2024.. She was born in Burlington to Bernard and Elizabeth Spiewak. She was an honor student who worked many summer programs for the city. Her careers included employment with an extermination company, law office and most recently Myon Graphics of Palmyra. She also launched several online sites which varied in products such as PetID tags. Her hobbies included taking photos around her hometown, writing articles to the local papers and volunteering many years for local pet adoptions agencies. She had a love for all creatures big and small. She possessed a passion for decorating and received compliments regularly from onlookers passing her residence. You could find her home decorated for every season and holiday. She had a love for her community and participated in many City meetings, creating a calendar which included her photography to support Burlington Island and enjoyed Burlington’s holiday parades.
BarBara loved all her pets through the years. The journey to multiple recused pets started with Marbles (her cat), Ruffles (her finch) and Theenda (her dog). Through the years she formed various friendships, some through email (Mary and Madeline) some through text (Joanne and Leslie) and some that were lifelong friends: (Donna, Kathy, Annamarie). She was not only a neighbor but a dear friend to many on her street where she lived since 1987. (Sharon, Sheila, Lucille and Autumn). In addition she acquired friends through her shared love of animal rescuers (Barb, Dr. Dow). She always had a quick and witty response for questions and problems presented to her. She was a wealth of knowledge with a generous, selfless heart that will be missed and remembered.
She is proceeded in death by her parents: Libby and Bernie Spiewak, her grandmother Catherine Korbut and her aunt Joan Korbut.
