Barbara Carcasio Obituary

Barbara Marie Carcasio (nee Leeser) was called by our Lord to come home on Sunday September 11, 2022 after an over five year battle with cancer.  She was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 2, 1946 and grew up in Long Island.  A resident of Willingboro for many decades, she dedicated her life to her family and volunteer work.  After moving to the Willingboro area, she met her loving husband Joe, and together they had a life filled with fun, travel and family. Her greatest loves were her children, Kimberly Mattson and Chris Carcasio, and her five grandchildren Davin, Beck, Suvi, her lovebug Joey, and her sparkle Julianna.  She is retired from Arrow Safety as an office manager and planner. Her love of ancient history brought her and Joe to many incredible places around the world including one of their favorites for 25 years, Aruba. She enjoyed going to casinos and some of her favorite past times were bowling, bingo and flea markets. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends and those she served in her many volunteer roles over the years. Her compassion for helping others brought her to working as a literacy volunteer for Literacy Volunteers of America. She was also a dedicated volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America. During the course of the five years she went through cancer, Barbara was very devoted to helping others and crocheted over a thousand baby beanies for the Virtua Mt. Holly hospital NICU unit.  A special thank you to the greatest staff at Penn Medicine Abramson Cancer Center in Cherry Hill. They treated us like family and we are so grateful.  A viewing for Barbara will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 6-8pm and Friday, September 16th from 9:30-10:30am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11am in St. Paul R.C. Church, 223 E. Union St., Burlington.  Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Jacksonville Rd., Burlington.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to either Abramson Cancer Center, or the Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 Eighteenth Street, Washington, DC 20006.  Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family through www.pagefuneralhome.com.
