Carlos J. Cintron, Sr., of Browns Mills passed away Sunday September 11, 2022 at the age of 82. Carlos was born in Naranjito, Puerto Rico to the late Arcadio and Eufemina (nee Rivera) Cintron. He enlisted in the US Army in 1963 and served honorably for his twenty year career, retiring as a Staff Sergeant in 1983. He served during the Vietnam War with time spent in Vietnam, Germany and many stateside duty stations. Carlos was the recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal with two service stars, the RVN Cross of Gallantry w/Palm and a meritorious unit citation among other awards during his career. In his spare time Carlos enjoyed playing his guitar, particularly at family parties in Puerto Rico. In addition to his parents, Carlos was predeceased by his wife Linda Rose Cintron. He is survived by his sons; Carlos, Jr., Tim and Miguel, his grandchildren; Tim, Carly, Jacob, Kristofer and Katie and his great grandchildren; Harper, Jaxxon and Ava. Carlos is also survived by his siblings; Doris, Jose, Jorge, Ivan, Elsa and Robert. A viewing will be held from 11am – 12noon, Tuesday September 20, 2022 at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. A funeral service will begin at noon at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2pm in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Provinceline Rd., North Hanover.
