Carol Anne (Higgins) Harris

Carol Anne Harris (née Higgins), 80, of Florence, NJ passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026 surrounded by her loving family. 

Born April 6, 1945, she spent most of her life in Florence, the community she proudly called home.

Carol was the beloved wife of the late Dennis J. Harris Sr. and devoted mother of Dennis J. Harris Jr. and Colleen Harris. She was a cherished grandmother to Hailey Harris of Virginia Beach, and Ava, Conor, and Caiden Harris of Florence.

She dedicated more than 20 years to the New Jersey Department of State, where she was known for her reliability and commitment. 

A deeply devoted Catholic, Carol drew strength, comfort, and peace from her faith throughout her life. Carol will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to family, her strong faith, and her gentle, quiet strength. Her love and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A viewing and Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Paul’s RC Church, 223 E. Union Street, Burlington on Friday, January 23, 2026. Viewing will be from 9:30-10:40 A.M. with Mass to follow at 11 A.M. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Hamilton Avenue, Hamilton, NJ.
