Carol Ann (Agunsday) Griffin, 76, of Glassboro, NJ, passed away after a brave battle with ALS, on Sunday, June 14, 2026. The daughter of the late James and Mary (Rosati) Agunsday, Carol Ann grew up in Burlington Twp., NJ, the middle child of three daughters.

She was an outgoing child, who enjoyed spending time with her extended Italian family. Schoolmates would remember her as sociable, the most talkative, and a member of the cheerleading squad.

Her varied interests led her to many careers where she put her talents to good use. Whether an executive administrative assistant, medical assistant and biller, or working with children at the Cerebral Palsy Center, with each job she held, one could expect excellence.

After her marriage to William Griffin, Carol moved to Glassboro, NJ. She loved traveling, theatre, music, and dancing. She was an active member of the Gloucester County Senior Center. Carol found much joy in attending the social activities and trips the center offered alongside the other seniors. Her travels led her to Italy, Portugal, Spain, Greece, Ireland, the Caribbean, and many US destinations. She has seen too many musicals and plays to count. Enjoying all musical genres, she always relished the chance to dance. Her activity schedule provided her with the opportunity to often dress up and wear lots of jewelry…something of which she was very fond.

Carol was a voracious reader, and always had her Kindle in hand, sometimes reading two books a week. There were a wide variety of titles she delighted in—fiction, nonfiction, both captured her interest. She was a great conversationalist and liked finding out all the details about people. She was a meticulous housekeeper who took pride in a well-manicured lawn. The house was always ‘picture perfect’ ready for the next event to celebrate with family and friends. Carol especially enjoyed being a mother and grandmother who worked hard to make each holiday special for them. Her devotion to family was evident in her time spent with them, especially as a caretaker to her mother for many years.

Never forgetting to send family and friends a card for upcoming special occasions, Carol had a big heart for people and a soft spot for dogs; she knew the name, breed, and age, of every dog in her neighborhood, slipping them a special treat as she walked her beloved dogs, the late Begee and Klifford, around the block.

A lifelong Catholic, Carol drew deep comfort from her Christian faith throughout her illness. She was never without her prayer book, living by the truth of Psalm 46:1: "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble."

She is survived by her loving husband of over 38 years, William Griffin; daughter, Natalie Edwards, wife of Franklin; and grandchildren, Maverick and Uriah; stepdaughter, Tracy Cintron, wife of Joseph; Stepson, William Griffin, husband of Naomi; grandchildren, Joseph, Joshua, husband of Briana, Cady, Leana, Riordan, and Elijah; great-grandchildren, Jailyn, Marissa, Aubrey, Austin, and Mason; sister, Mary Jean Kashmer, wife of Bernard, sister, Gail Perkins; and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.  She is predeceased by her parents, James and Mary Agunsday.

Carol Ann will be missed by many and remain in our hearts forever.

Visitation for Carol Ann will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 -11:00 am, at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am. Inurnment to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, 4527 US-130, Burlington, NJ 08016.
