It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected and devastating passing of a truly remarkable woman, Carole Renea Willitts. Born on November 26, 1964, Carole's vibrant spirit graced our lives and made a mark on all the hearts who knew her. Her untimely departure has left us grappling with a loss that words cannot adequately convey.
Carole's journey began on that November day, and on June 27, 1987, she joined hands in marriage with David Willitts, marking the start of a beautiful partnership that would endure for decades. Her commitment to family, as evidenced by her role as a dedicated wife and mother, defined her existence. She found purpose as a data entry tech at the Department of Corrections in NJ, a career that helped her support her two beautiful daughters and family that she cared so deeply about.
Carole was an extraordinary individual, leaving her mark through quirks that endeared her to all who knew her. Her infectious laughter brightened the darkest of days, her welcoming & almost expected greeting of “oh heyy”, and her zest for life was reflected in her fast-paced driving. She had a way of capturing moments through her lens, always taking pictures to immortalize memories. Her characteristic sighs, always echoing through the room, became a comforting presence we will sorely miss.
The values that anchored Carole's life were unwavering. Family, God, and friends held the highest importance to her. Her lessons echoed through her actions: prioritize family above all, take more pictures, approach life with a lighthearted spirit, don’t take anyone for granted, and embrace the power of honesty.
As a devout Christian, Carole's actions and words reflected the love and compassion she held for all. Her favorite holiday, Christmas, became a radiant celebration of togetherness and giving, embodying her spirit of generosity.
Carole was the embodiment of selflessness, radiating love and warmth to all she encountered. Her legacy extends beyond her years, woven into the fabric of relationships she nurtured. Her ability to bridge gaps and bring people together earned her the title of a peacemaker, while her personable nature created lasting bonds.
As we remember Carole, we recall the melodies that resonated with her soul. Songs like "Always and Forever” by Heatwave, "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen, and "Are You Lonesome Tonight" by Elvis remind us of her vibrant presence and the joy she brought to our lives.
A viewing will be available on Saturday 9/2/2023 at Life Gate (1607 Jacksonville Rd, Burlington NJ 08016) from 1pm to 2pm with a funeral service at 2pm; with food and refreshments immediately following. We welcome friends and family to join us in remembering Carole. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to assist with funeral expenses. Carole's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her. She is survived by her loving husband, David, her two daughters Rachel and Rebecca, her grandson Jace, her siblings Charlie, Eddie, Patty, Ronald, and Carmen, and an abundance of extended family.
