Catherine “Cathy” Podraza

Catherine “Cathy” Podraza passed away at her home on December 5, 2021, at the age of 62.

Born in Burlington, NJ, Cathy was a longtime county resident. She graduated from Pennsauken High School, where she played field hockey and lacrosse. For the past 38 years, she resided in Florida, though she made frequent trips back to her home state to spend time with family and friends.

Cathy enjoyed shopping, especially for accessories. (Everything always matched, from her earrings to her shoes.) She loved trying new recipes, reading and watching sports—her favorite teams included the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Flyers. Involved in her local community, she was an active member of the Women’s Club of Coconut Creek, Red Hat Society and Stroke Club.

Cathy will fondly be remembered for her beautiful smile, friendly and kind spirit and positive and optimistic view of life. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She was predeceased by her father, Michael “Mick” Podraza, and her sister, Michelle Podraza. She leaves behind her mother, Dorothy LaTorre, and stepfather, Donald LaTorre; stepmother, Margaret Podraza; sisters, Barbara Miller (Duke) and Monica Pogorzelski (Tedd); nephews, Warren Miller (Angela) and Daniel Miller (Ami); niece, MicKayla “Mickie” Clark; great nieces and nephews, Evelyn, Bradleigh, DJ and Desmond Miller; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street in Burlington. Interim burial will be held privately. Facial coverings will be required for the safety of all attending. Expressions of sympathy may be emailed to her family from www.pagefuneralhome.com
