Charles E. Alcott, Sr., of Burlington City passed away at his residence on Friday December 27, 2024 after a brief illness at the age of 87. He was born in Mt. Holly to the late Harold and Dorothy (nee Gilbert) Alcott and was a longtime Burlington resident. He served honorably in the Army for thirteen years during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. After his military service, Charlie became a painter working for the Painter’s International Union 1171 in Camden until his retirement. He will be remembered by all who knew him as a calm, quiet and gentle man who was always willing to lend a hand when needed. In addition to his parents, Charlie was predeceased by his grandson Kodee Alcott. He is survived by his wife Rosa Lee (nee Caruso) Alcott, daughter and son in law Bonnie and Marc Zott and sons and daughters in law; Charles and Ann Marie Alcott, Jr. and Robby and Dawn Alcott. He is also survived by grandchildren; Amber (Kirk) Moritz, James Kalin, Jonathan, Alex and Joel, great grandchildren; Kaylee and Peyton Moritz as well as his brother Melvin (Phyliss) Alcott and sister Ida Chencharik. A viewing for Charlie will be held Thursday January 2, 2025 from 10-11:30am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. Funeral services will begin at the funeral home at 11:30am. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, 4527 US Rt. 130, Burlington.
