Obituary

Charles “Lippy” Lippincott of Columbus, passed away Tuesday July 12, 2022 at his residence at the age of 86. Born and raised in Burlington, NJ, and graduated from Burlington H.S in 1955.  Charles met his true love Kathy and married in 1962 and began a family.  The family moved to Newportville, PA where he and Kathy raised their family, residing there for over 40 years until moving back to New Jersey 14 years ago. After graduating high school, Charles worked in the supermarket industry until 1989 when he joined Amtrak as a reservation agent until his retirement in 1999. He was an avid reader and could always be found with a book nearby.  Through his retirement years, Charles loved spending winters in Florida with close family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Leon and Thelma (nee McDermott) Lippincott, brother Ronald  and his son Jeffrey. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kathleen (nee Cameron) Lippincott, his children and their spouses; Ronald (Dee) Lippincott, Beth (William) Kline, and Kristin (Zack) Samuel, grandchildren; Nathan, Cameron, Nick, Noah and Chance. Charles is also survived by his sister Mary Holt and many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 9:30-11am Saturday July 16th at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington. A memorial service will begin at the funeral home at 11am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at stjude.org would be appreciated by his family
