Chester Skowronski Obituary

Chester Francis Skowronski went to be with the lord and his beloved wife Anne 'Vargo" Skowronski on Saturday August 8, 2020 at Virtua Hospital, Willingboro. Chester was 94 years young. He was born in Duryea, PA where he grew up. Chester also lived in New Brunswick, East Brunswick, South River and Burlington New Jersey. He was employed by Permacel Tape as a machine operator in New Brunswick NJ for over 30 years. Chester put God and Family first. He lived and enjoyed each and every day of his life and taught us all how that the greatest joys come from the simple things. He led his family by being the finest example of strength, kindness, love, patience, and responsibility. He was a humble man whose greatest pleasure was to be with his family and see them happy. His favorite hobbies included camping, fishing, many beach trips, Atlantic City. Mr. Skowronski was a communicant of Corpus Christi RC church of South River for over 56 years. Chester was a loving husband, father, grandfather, & great grandfather. He is predeceased by his loving wife Anne, his sister Lottie and his brother Thomas. Surviving are his brother Bernard (Louise) of MI, his daughter Luanne Sozio & husband Philip, grandson Mark Sturtevant (wife Brooke), granddaughter Melissa Aker (husband Earl), grandson Matthew Sturtevant (husband Ron Mento), bonus grandson John Sozio (wife Lesley), great grandsons Antonio, Nicholas, Dylan, Brandon, Joseph, Jacob, and great granddaughter Phoebe Anne. Chester will be deeply missed by his former son-in-law Mark Sturtevant.  His many trips to the race tracks and casinos with his nephew Benjamin Killino were very treasured memories. A walkthrough viewing will be held Monday, August 17th from 9:30 – 10:30am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Monday in All Saints R.C. Church, 502 High Street, Burlington.  Due to covid-19 restrictions, attendance at Mass will be limited to 70 attendees and proper facial covering must be worn both at the viewing and at mass.  Entombment in Holy Cross Burial Park, East Brunswick will be held privately.
