Cynthia Wooters Obituary

Cynthia Jayne Wooters (Cindy) 62 of Edgewater Park, NJ was born in Riverside, NJ on July 21, 1962 to Dolores Wooters and the late Philip E. Wooters, passed away May 7, 2025.

Courageous, Caring, Creative, Intelligent, Nice, Diverse, and Young at Heart.  Those are traits that describe Cindy best.

Cindy was a loyal employee to several businesses, the latest being Canon Business Solutions in Burlington, NJ.  A very dedicated and conscientious person, she was a leader and wonderful mentor to co-workers.

Cindy had many passions, among them being a loyal and avid Phillies fan through good and bad seasons. She loved “The Tugger” especially.  She watched many games with her Dad while happily attending games with her Mom, Chrissy and other family members.

Her love of anything Disney was evident from collectibles, visits and even her license plate.  A memorable trip there was treating her young cousins Jennifer and Sharon to Walt Disney World.  Crafting was a love of hers in which she excelled. She made beautiful wreaths for family and friends which were so professional.

She loved to sing along with her favorite country tunes and had a beautiful voice. The family historian and party planner, she gave unselfishly to everyone, asking nothing in return. Her laugh was memorable, her smile joyous, her thoughtfulness special. She enjoyed her role as Aunt “Dee Dee” to her nieces and nephew. She made their Halloween costumes as children, did Easter Egg Hunts, and vacation trips. She proudly watched them grow into adults but considered them her own.

She was the recipient of a liver transplant at Jefferson Hospital followed by several years of challenges but never complained through it all. She was appreciative of the support from family and friends and especially the loving nursing care by her Mother. Her doctors and nurses took special care of her always and truly liked Cindy the person, not just the patient. She was truly “special” to every one of them.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Philip Wooters, her grandparents Elwood and Jayne Wooters, William and Isabel Slyman, and her Uncle Joseph Wooters.

She is survived by her mother, Dolores, sisters, Chrissy, (Kevin), Pam (Shawn) nieces  Danielle and Haley and nephew Logan. Her Aunt Pauline (Donald) and Uncle Tom (Angela), plus many other family members and decades long friends.
