Dean R "Gil" Gilbert

Dean R. Gilbert "Gil" of Edgewater Park, NJ passed away on February 15, 2025 at the age of 75. 

Among many of his great attributes, he is remembered for his sense of humor (even when the jokes were bad, they were funny), as a Burlington Township High School Hall of Fame pitcher, and a man lucky enough to have a dedicated group of lifelong friends.  Dean is predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Barbara ‘Bobbi’ Gilbert and his sister Lynn Rogers.  He is survived by his daughter Trisha Medeiros (Norm), grandchildren Ava and Mack, brother Rusty Gilbert (Barbara) and several nieces, nephews, in-laws, and rescue dogs.  Together, Bobbi and Dean fostered over 100 dogs throughout their marriage, many of which they adopted as their own. 

While we grieve the loss of Dean, we also celebrate his life.  He leaves behind memories of great laughs, lots of political banter, random historical facts, and unforgettable moments with his best friends.  His memory will live on in the stories we tell and the love we continue to share with one another.

A graveside Committal service to be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 11am with representatives from St. Katherine Drexel Parish, St. Paul’s Roman Church and military honors.   The gravesite is located behind the flag pole.
