Deborah E. Johnson (Nee: Everhart) of Burlington, NJ passed away on September 30, 2025 at Samaritan Hospice, Mt. Holly, NJ at the age of 72. She was Born in Danville, Virginia then migrated North to Burlington, New Jersey. Her career in banking started in 1987 at Trenton Savings Bank (Eventually merging with Santander) where she would eventually become Branch Manager where she stayed for many years to come. She retired from Mercer County NJ Teacher’s Federal Credit Union in Hamilton as a Loan Officer.
Debbie married the love of her life the late R.“Kevin” Johnson in June 1992. until his untimely passing in January of 2017. Kevin was a respected member of the Burlington City Police Department which opened their hearts to Debbie and she to became family to the BCPD. In their spare time they enjoyed traveling with their dear friends Bob and Marge Wilkie with a favorite destination of Newport Rhode Island.
After Kevin’s untimely death and as her health was beginning to decline she began enjoying the simpler things in life. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and most of all enjoyed spending time with her daughter and Best Friend Angela.
Deborah was predeceased by her father Edward Max Everhart, Sr. and is survived by her mother Doris Blackstock Everhart, beloved daughter and best friend Angela Dalton, a brother: Edward Everhart, Jr.,(Connie); and several nieces and nephews. Debbie was a firm believer that blood makes you related but love and actions make family. Nephews Johnathan Johnson and Jeremy Bright (Gabrielle), Dear Friends Tony Hoffman (Joanne), Bob (Marge) Wilkie have walked beside Debbie through her darkest hours after losing Kevin and through her various illnesses and have now rallied around her daughter Angela as she navigates her way in this new world around her.
And last but not least we cannot forget her beloved cat Sasha. There were each others emotional support.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 from 9:30AM-10:30 AM. at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington. A funeral service will begin at 10:30 AM with prayers of committal and the eternal reunification with Kevin to follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. Prayer services will be conducted by Rev. Kevin Lowe.
