Delores H Churry

DELORES H. CHURRY (nee Kowalsky) of Burlington City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the age of 85. Delores graduated from Burlington City High School and worked for the Burlington County Times in the Composing Room retiring after 25 years of service. Delores was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Andrew A. Churry, her parents, Stephen and Stella Cole, and her brother, Henry Cole. She is survived by her brother, Joseph Kowalsky (Sheila) of Mt. Holly, her three children, Robert Churry (Donna) of Burlington, Stephen Churry of Pennsauken, and Donna Drachman (Craig) of The Woodlands, Texas, 6 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She enjoyed watching the Wheel of Fortune, the Philadelphia Phillies, and keeping in touch with her fellow co-workers from BCT. She had a knack for baking and won first place in a cookie competition for her Potato Chip Cookies. She loved baking for family and friends throughout the years. Words cannot express our gratitude to her great-niece and caretaker, Kimberly Price. Delores was a member of All Saints Church, Altar Rosary Society, Young at Heart Club, and the Bernadine Franciscan Sisters Association. A viewing will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington from 10-11:30am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:15 at All Saints RC Church, 502 High Street Burlington with burial to follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
