Diane Schoenborn Obituary

 Diane Schoenborn of Burlington Township passed away on February 4, 2023, at the age of 85 in her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen Lippi of Cherry Hill, NJ and is survived by her two sisters, Sondra Lippi of Merchantville, NJ and Joan Donofrio (Anthony) of The Villages in Florida.

She was born in Camden, NJ at Cooper Hospital and graduated from Merchantville High School in 1955. She earned a Registered Nursing degree from Cooper Hospital School of Nursing in Camden, NJ in 1958. She received her B.A. degree in nursing from Glassboro State College (Rowan University) in 1978. She was a member of the New Jersey Education Association (NJEA) and was a past President of the Burlington County School Nurses Association (BCSNA) from 1986 to 1988.

After graduating nursing school, Diane worked at Cooper Hospital in the Emergency Room. Diane and her husband, Carl, married in 1959 and then she worked at Annie Warner Hospital in Gettysburg, PA until having their first of four children. In 1971, she worked as a substitute school nurse for the newly opened Burlington County Special Services School District and eventually became the school’s full-time nurse from 1976 to 2001. The Burlington County Special Services School District is a special education public school district whose schools offer educational and therapeutic services for students of elementary and high school age from across Burlington County who have emotional or physical disabilities. Diane spent her career and life serving others and caring for those with special needs.

Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader. She loved playing pinochle with the family and had a lifelong bridge group. She also played online bridge games where she challenged worldwide players. She enjoyed summers at the shore at Long Beach Island. She also loved to travel and went to over 35 countries where she especially enjoyed river cruises.

Diane is survived by her loving husband Carl Schoenborn, her sons Scott Schoenborn (Agata) of Richmond VA, Terry Schoenborn (Kelly) of Waxhaw, NC, Tim Schoenborn (Karen) of Scottsdale, AZ and Eric Schoenborn (Stephanie) of Mount Laurel, NJ. Diane loved her grandchildren Lauren Schoenborn of Bozeman, MT, Savannah Gimon (Gregory) of Waxhaw, NC, Tara Schoenborn of Satellite Beach, FL, Ted Schoenborn of Richmond, VA, Kimberly Schoenborn of Charlotte, NC, Daniel Schoenborn (Allison) of Longmont, CO, Lindy Schoenborn of Wilmington, NC, Stephen Schoenborn of Mount Laurel, NJ, Sydney Schoenborn of Mount Laurel, NJ, Stas Schoenborn of Richmond, VA, Sophia Schoenborn of Mount Laurel, NJ, Antonio Schoenborn of Richmond, VA, Mieszko Schoenborn of Richmond, VA and her great granddaughter Gianna Gimon of Waxhaw, NC.

A Catholic Mass will take place on Friday, February 10, at 11:00 AM at the Parish of St. Katharine Drexel (formerly St. Paul), 223 E. Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016. Visitations will take place at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington on Thursday, February 9 from 6 to 8 PM and Friday, February 10, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM.
