Donald Edward Schmid

Donald Edward Schmid, passed away at the Masonic Village at Burlington on August 3, 2021 at the age of 90. Born in Chicago, IL to the late Edward G. and Catherine (Nee: Endres) Schmid in February of 1931. Don and his late wife Mary enjoyed traveling and he enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden, reading and doing cross-word puzzles. He worked for and retired from the State of New Jersey as a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor. Husband of 47 years to the late Mary Schmid, he leaves to cherish his memory their son and daughter-in-law Robert and Olga Schmid; grandchildren: Robert and Michael; his sisters: Joan and Mary as well as several nieces and nephews. Viewings will be held at Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union Street, Burlington, NJ 08016 on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 2-4pm and also on Monday from 9-10am. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Paul’s RC Church at 10:30am with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt. Holly.
