Doris L Horn

Doris L. Horn (nee Lowther) of Delran and formerly of Burlington Township passed away Tuesday May 18, 2021 at the Laurel Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Mt. Laurel at the age of 86.  Born in Delaware Twp. (now Cherry Hill Twp.) to the late Augustus and Daisy Lee (nee Metzger) Lowther, Doris was a longtime resident of Burlington Twp.  She was employed for almost 30 years at the B. Bernice Young Elementary School in Burlington Twp.  She worked in a variety of capacities there including as a bus aide and teacher’s aide and also as a custodian.  She was very proud to have earned her black seal license.  She was a fixture at the school and was loved by staff and students alike.  She also loved them, especially the children so working in the school was the perfect career for her.  She was very artistic and enjoyed doing many arts and crafts projects.  She especially loved flowers and tending to her yard and flower gardens was a passion for her.  Doris was predeceased by her husband Norman R. Horn.  She is survived by her daughters and sons in law; Diana and Robert Graham and Brenda and Edmund Woods, her grandchildren; Lauren, Ian, Neil, Kyle and Eddie.  She is also survived by her sisters in law and many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held privately.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Page Funeral Home, Burlington.
