Marty was a lover of sports. He was a star football player at Burlington High School. He successfully coached the Beverly AC and Lombardo’s slow pitch men’s softball team for many years. He was an avid skier and taught all of his children to ski, which led to many wonderful family ski trips and memories. He made many friends through the South Jersey Ski Club. In the summers,
you’d find Marty on his boat, The Irish Rover, at the Sea Shell on Long Beach Island or Westy’s in North Wildwood. He loved to travel. Key West and Cancun were two of his favorites. In his 60’s Marty moved to Venice, Florida where he enjoyed retirement to the fullest.
Dr. Donohue’s greatest accomplishment was his children. He loved them deeply. He was a father who valued discipline balanced with love, respect for oneself and others, hard work and honor. He will never ever be forgotten and his legacy will live on through his children and grandchildren.
