Earl W. Dewson, Jr.

Earl W. Dewson, Jr., of Burlington Twp. passed away Sunday January 24, 2021 at the Samaritan Inpatient Unit in Mt. Holly at the age of 78.  Born in Riverside, Earl was a longtime resident of Burlington Twp.  He was a navy veteran of the Vietnam War, serving his country honorably.  After his military service, Earl earned his associate’s degree in business administration.  He worked as the supervisor of the Compound Department in Occidental Chemical Co. in Burlington Twp. until his retirement.  He was a member of the WA Cortright American Legion Post 115 in Beverly.  He was a member of the Fountain of Life Church in Florence for over 45 years and lately was a member of the Calvary Church in Delran.  A spiritual man, Earl spent over 20 years in church ministry, visiting the sick and those in prison for the Fountain of Life, Calvary and several other area churches.  In his spare time, he also enjoyed traveling, gardening and doing yardwork.  He is survived by his wife Carolyn (nee Giberson), his son Earl W. Dewson, III, his daughter and son in law Dawn and Tony Morichetti, his grandchildren; Ashley Morichetti, Joshua (Tammy) Morichetti and Brielle Morichetti, his great-grandchildren Audrina Morichetti and Cali Morichetti.  He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses; Emma Thomas, Mary (Elwood) Simcox, Marsha (William) Stell, Charles Dewson and Paul (Maura) Kendall as well as many nieces, nephews and other family members.  A walk through viewing for Earl will be held from 5:30-7pm, Thursday January 28th at the Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington.  Services will begin at 7pm at the funeral home.  Interment will be held privately.  Facial coverings and social distancing will be required for all events.
