Earlene J. Hope (nee Hullings) passed away peacefully Friday, May 30, 2025 at her residence in Columbus, NJ. Born in Bridgeboro, N.J., Earlene was a longtime resident of Columbus. She was very involved in both Columbus and Hedding United Methodist Churches. She was a former Sunday School teacher, a member of the church choir and the United Methodist Women. She chaperoned many Methodist Youth Fellowship ski trips, camping trips at Mt. Misery and other activities. She had a love of travel and enjoyed many cruises with her family and husband Garey. However, her favorite places were her family home in Columbus and the family gathering place at their home on Long Beach Island. She would spend countless hours there with family and friends making many memories. Earlene’s world revolved around her family. She was active in her son’s activities, including serving as a member and past president of the Northern Burlington Sports Booster Club. She also enjoyed taking her granddaughters to tea parties. Earlene was predeceased by her parents Earl and Hannah (nee Kendall) Hullings. She is survived by her husband, The Reverend W. Garey Hope, their sons and daughters-in-law : Earl (Linda), Paul (Sandra), and Thomas (Bonnie). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jennifer, Heather, Matthew, Jacob, Lucas, Alexander, Nicole and Brittany as well as five great-grandchildren and brothers-in-law Ronald and David Hope. A viewing for Earlene will be held Wednesday, June 4th from 10:30am-12:00pm at the Hedding United Methodist Church, 2289 Old York Road, Bordentown, NJ 08505. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm with luncheon immediately following. Graveside services will be held privately with her family
