Edgar J. "Ned" Taggart

Edgar J. Taggart “Ned”: Born in Burlington, NJ on July 21, 1928 to parents Elizabeth and John Taggart, passed away on August 7, 2021.   He was predeceased by his brother Jack, his wife Mary Taggart, and niece Barbara Mohoney.  He was survived by his wife, Glenda Olt (now deceased), daughter Terri Laverty (John), son Glen Taggart, niece Patricia McGill (Bob), granddaughters  Meghan Czerwin (Eric), Erin Radomicki (Andrew), Cassidy Taggart and great-grandaughter Evelyn “Evie” Czerwin; as well as extended family: Sharon Replogle and Kenneth Glasson (Tamara), along with their children Paul (Ashley), Ashley, Thomas and Brittany (Jack).  Ned graduated from Burlington High School in 1945.  He was an Air Force veteran and resident of Beverly since 1954.  Ned was employed by PSE&G Gas Dept. for 41 years.  He was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, a Vestryman, member of the Choral Society, and Master of the Chimes for 50 years.  He also belonged to the American Legion and was a life member of the Loyal Order of Moose.  Service will be graveside at St. Mary’s Church on August 20th at 9:30 AM.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Page Funeral Home, Burlington where messages of sympathy may be sent to the family through www.pagefuneralhome.com.
