Edward F Smith, Sr.

Edward F. Smith, Sr., of Willingboro passed away Wednesday August 12, 2020 at Virtua Hospital, Willingboro at the age of 80.  Born in Wilkes Barre, PA Ed was a longtime resident of Willingboro.  He was retired from Hillcrest Dairies in Croydon, PA and was a member of the Mt. Holly Moose Lodge.  In his spare time he loved fishing and wood working.  He also enjoyed spending time at the lakes of the Penn Warner Club.  His greatest love, however, was his family.  He cherished spending time with his beloved family and friends.  He also taught the meaning of unconditional love to those who knew him.  Ed’s fun loving personality will live on in those whose lives he touched-his spirit is now “somewhere over the rainbow.”  He is survived by his devoted wife Marie (nee Speece), his children: Kimberly Giberson, Edward F. Smith, Jr. (Donna), Mary Jo King (Ralph), Ricky Smith (Deanna), Rob Hodgson (Kelly), Frank Hodgson, Dave Hodgson (Melissa), fifteen grandchildren: Kalin, DJ, Chad, Bret, Kira, Ryan, Erin, Jordan, Sonya, Kierstyn, Tyler, Stephanie, Briana, Knol and Kyle. Also, many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.  Visitation for Ed will be held Thursday August 20th from 9:30-11am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 2 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Willingboro, NJ 08046.  Private family services will begin at the church at 11am.  Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, PA 19020.  Due to the ongoing pandemic, facial coverings will be required for all events and seating will be limited at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Page Funeral Home, Burlington.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Luke Lutheran Church.
