ELAINE A. BERTINO Elaine Brodowski Bertino passed away peacefully on August 1, 2024, at the Bridges of Warwick in Jamison, PA, at the age of 94. Daughter of the late Leon and Frances Brodowski of Hamilton, NJ , she was predeceased by her brothers, Norbert, Carl and Donald, and by her sisters Gertrude Cifranic and Bernadette Wierzbicki. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Kelly, Jr. and Salvatore (Sam) Bertino of Edgewater Park. She leaves behind her three loving daughters and their husbands, Maureen and Edwin (Ken) Bohns of St. Johns, FL, Donna and Mark Van Horn of Allentown, NJ, and Therese and Gary Albertini of Doylestown, PA. She was the loving grandmother of Mark Van Horn Jr. and his wife Christina of Freehold, NJ, Meghan Van Horn of Collegeville, PA, Rachel Van Horn and her husband, Stephen of Freehold, NJ, Francine Pizzoferrato and her husband Bill, of St. Johns, FL, Kelly Diaz-Albertini Solin and her husband, Matthew of Palmyra, NJ and Dean Diaz-Albertini and his wife Niki of Foutainville, PA. She also leaves behind seven great grandchildren, two loving sisters-in-law, Gerry Brodowski of Marlton and Shirley Brodowski of Hamilton, NJ, and many nieces and nephews. Elaine was a graduate of St. Mary’s Cathedral High School in Trenton and attended Rider College. She also received her degree as a dietary assistant from Mercer County Community College. She was a Quarter Century Club member of Marriott Corporation and after serving as a Food Service Director in various hospitals in Oklahoma and retirement communities in Pennsylvania, she became the Dietary Department Director at Rancocas Valley Hospital in Willingboro, NJ, where she met her future husband, Sam She later served in the administrative department of the Eastern Regional office of Marriott Corporation in Washington Crossing, PA. After her retirement from Marriott, she acted as the personal secretary to the late author and historian, Mrs. Anna Hawkes Hutton. Residing for many years in Edgewater Park, she favored daily Mass participation in various catholic parishes throughout the area. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at Jesus the Good Shepherd Parish in Beverly and past treasurer of the Interfaith community of Beverly/Edgewater Park. Elaine was also a member of the Seniors Club and Women of Joy at Corpus Christi Church in Willingboro. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 7th from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m at the Page Funeral Home, 302 East Union Street, Burlington, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 226 E Union Street, Burlington.
