Eleanor M. (Welsh) DeGrasse

Eleanor M. DeGrasse passed away Sunday June 25, 2023 at the age of 102 years old. Eleanor was born in Philadelphia and was the eldest of five children to the late Nora and Frank Welsh. She graduated from Camden Catholic High School and worked at Bell Telephone and later at various businesses as a switchboard operator. She is preceded in death by her late husband William and is survived by her two children Lynn (Ronald) and William, Jr. (Barbara), grandchildren; Cara (Marcos), Tricia, Elizabeth (Rob), Michelle (Peter) and William (Carly), seven great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Margaret and John. Eleanor was an accomplished pianist and enjoyed being a homemaker and reading. Eleanor and Bill, Sr. traveled the world in their later years but always enjoyed spending time with the family on vacations to Ocean City, NJ. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday July 5th at 11am at St. Andrew’s R.C. Church, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown, PA. Calling hours will be held at the church, Wednesday from 10am-11am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
