Ellen Margaret (Nicholson) Harvey

Ellen Margaret Harvey passed away Monday August 5, 2024 at Total Rehab Moorestown at the age of 80. Ellen was born October 6, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY. Being an Army “brat” she attended many schools throughout her formative years ultimately graduating in 1961 from Levittown High School, Levittown, NJ (now Willingboro). Ellen was a “stay at home mom” until her children were grown. She then enjoyed years of clerical/office work until her retirement. She was a member of the VFW Post 3020 Auxiliary in Delran. In 2019 Ellen won her first battle with cancer, but over the past few months a new battle had begun. She was very family oriented; with her children and grandchildren being out of state she took great pride in her nieces and nephews, along with their children’s accomplishments. With her sister Kathy living out of state, Ellen cherished every moment that she had when the three sisters came together, especially when their families could also join them. A glass of wine, family gathered around the table, spirited talking and laughing, is what Ellen enjoyed most of all.

She was predeceased by her parents, Eleanor F. Nicholson Downing and Jack P. Nicholson and her son William (Billy) J. Harvey, Jr. Ellen is survived by her sisters and brothers in law Janet and Thomas Farrell of Burlington Twp. and Kathy and John Fastrich, of Indiana, her children and their spouses; David and Reenie Harvey of Florida, Denise Harvey Mondello and Cristiano Mondello of Italy and Scott and Nassau Harvey of Arizona as well as thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A viewing for Ellen will be held Tuesday, August 13th from 10-11am at the Page Funeral Home, 302 East Union St., Burlington, NJ 08016. Services will begin at the funeral home at 11am. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150. Services at the cemetery will begin at 1pm Tuesday.
