Emily Carolyn (Leeds) Crane, 86, of Burlington, died Friday, April 10, 2026, at the Masonic Village.
Born on May 30, 1939, in Burlington, she was the daughter of the late Richard Nelson Leeds and Carrie M. (Gilbert) Leeds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer “Bucky” Crane, after 38 years of marriage.
Her survivors include her three children, daughter Jean Crane, son Daniel Crane and his wife Terry, daughter Sandra Forrest and her husband Robert, as well as grandchildren Robert Crane, Janessa Erath (Andrew), Lily Crane, Anastasia Forrest and her fiancée Eric Strack, Valentyna Forrest, Kateryna Roselli (Aaron), and Andrew Forrest. She is also survived by one great-grandchild, Elijah Roselli. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Janice Leeds.
Emily worked for the Burlington Township School District for more than 50 years. She began her career as a Title I teacher’s aide, working with students in the areas of reading and mathematics. Later in her career, she worked as an assistant in the Fountain Woods Intermediate School in Burlington Township as a library assistant.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 26th, from 6 to 8 p.m. Page Funeral Home, 302 E. Union St., Burlington City; funeral Monday, April 27th at 11 at funeral home, burial Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607.
Emily was known for her Christmas cookie baking, making baby blankets, and sending holiday cards to various family and friends.
