Frantzeska Giginis (Axioti) of Bordentown Twp., passed away Monday December 25, 2023 at her residence at the age of 95. She was born in Andros Greece to the late Dimitrios and Aneza Axioti and emigrated to the United States in 1974. She resided in Cherry Hill for four years until moving to Bordentown Twp. for the remainder of her life. She was a homemaker who was very involved with her children and grandchildren. After retirement, she traveled back and forth to Greece until the passing of her husband in 2007. She was a great cook who passed down that knowledge to her three daughters. Frantzeska had a major part in her grandchildren’s upbringing and teaching the Greek traditions and language. Her dedication to her family, extended family and friends was something to be marveled. Her big heart and selflessness was apparent to all who came in contact with her throughout her life. Her house was always open to her kids, their extended family and friends. Christmas day was always spent at yiayia's house, including getting us together this past Christmas, on the day of her passing. She loved the church and her religion, which she passed on to her children and grandchildren. In her spare time, she loved gardening, especially in her perivoli (garden) in Andros, Greece. She also enjoyed reading religious books; at the top of her list was the Miracles From Saint Irene Chrisovalantou in Likovrysi Greece. Frantzeska was predeceased by her parents, Dimitrios and Aneza Axioti, her siblings Maria, and Antonios and her husband Antonios Giginis. She is survived by her children; Anna (Phillip) Constantinos, Irene (Nick) Houtas, Margie (George) Halas and George (Maria) Giginis, her grandchildren; Asterios (Blair) Houtas, Athanasios Halas, Franzeska (Eric) Becker, Antonios Halas, Eva Giginis, Frantzeska Giginis, Anna (Tatiana) Giginis, Antonios Giginis, her great grandchildren Benjamin Becker and Abby Becker. She is also survived by one sister Alexandra Papandriopoulou in Greece and many nieces and nephews. A viewing for Frantzeska will be held Tuesday January 2, 2024 from 9-11am in St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 1200 Klockner Rd., Hamilton Twp., NJ 08619. Funeral services will begin at the church at 11am Tuesday. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Rt. 130 and Beverly Rd., Burlington Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to St. George Orthodox Church at the above address or online at https://www.stgeorgehamilton.com would be appreciated by her family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Page Funeral Home, Burlington.
