Gary J Decker

Gary J. Decker of Oxford, PA and formerly of Burlington Twp., passed away Saturday August 27, 2022, at the Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills at the age of 71. Born in Mt. Holly, Gary was a longtime resident of Burlington Twp., before moving to Oxford, PA. He was a graduate of Burlington Twp. High School, Class of 1969, where he played football and several other sports. He attended the University of Miami, where he also played football. He remained a lifelong Hurricanes fan. Gary worked as a police officer for the Burlington Twp. Police Department for several years. He later worked as the automobile finance manager for several area car dealerships. At the time of his passing, Gary was employed as a retail liaison for Atlantic Water Products. He was a member of the Oneida Boat Club in Burlington for many years. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed traveling, cooking, going to restaurants and socializing with his friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Jay and Joan Decker, his brother David and his nephew David, Jr. Gary is survived by his loving companion of 15 years, Joanne Sampson, his adopted daughter Dr. Christy Decker, his sister and brother in law Sharon and Al Tentilucci, and his sister in law Sarah Decker. Funeral services will be held privately.
